PID Attends 2024 Flooring Sustainability Summit in Washington, D.C.

We are still excited as we think back on participating in last week’s inaugural Flooring Sustainability Summit, July 17th and 18th, in Washington, D.C., alongside Michael Martin, John Forbes, and Anita Howard of the NWFA: National Wood Flooring Association.
The Flooring Sustainability Summit was an inspiring two days in our nation’s capital, where innovation, collaboration, standardization, and regulation converged to shape the future of flooring sustainability and provided a unique platform to outline sustainability objectives and prioritize standards, certifications, and initiatives that drive the flooring industry forward.
Sustainability leaders within the flooring industry, architects and designers, policy makers, advocacy groups were brought together, and we were extremely proud to be among them. We were also so proud to alongside the NWFA, at The Capital, discussing crucial topics of sustainability and other pressing environmental challenges that face our industry. At PID Floors we strive to achieve sustainable practices in an industry that is constantly evolving. We are rigorously committed to the ongoing health, protection, and well-being of both our clients and the environment. A huge thank you to all the incredible guest speakers and fellow Flooring Sustainability Summit participants. We look forward to continuing the conversations started this past week in Washington D.C.
“Through the ever-evolving landscape of sustainability, there’s no better time to initiate change and foster innovation. As there is an increasing demand for more eco-conscious building materials and more rigorous sustainability standards, the inaugural 2024 Flooring Sustainability Summit in Washington, D.C. is your chance to be at the forefront of change. As the flooring industry faces environmental challenges head-on, it's time to come together, share knowledge, and lead the way for a more sustainable tomorrow. Together, we will work toward advancing green building practices throughout the supply chain.”
