Our new flagship showroom in New York City embodies both the spirit and history of PID Floors. A true labor of love, 35 years in the making, weaving together three generations of our family. It is a celebration of all the things we know and love about our industry and created to be a design hub of inspiration for all generations.
On Sunday, October 20th, we were thrilled to hold our 2nd PID FLOORS TREE HOUSE event as part of PID Discover, which focuses on learning and community. It was another afternoon of art, joy, learning, socializing, and FUN for the kids at our PID Floors flagship showroom.
We are incredibly lucky to have Karen Katz leading our TREEHOUSE events. Karen is a head teacher at a Montessori early childhood school in New York City. Originally from Maryland, she graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and subsequently spent years touring the country in various musical theater productions. Passionate about arts and crafts, Karen has for many years made paper plants and flowers. She’s taught classes on the art of paper flower making for Martha Stewart Living magazine. Being a mom to her son, now six, ignited Karen’s interest in early childhood education. She loves introducing children to the process and exploration of art, as well as how to use art as a means of expression. Karen also plays the ukulele and sings and uses music to create community in her classroom. Karen earned her Montessori credential through WSMS-TEP, and is studying for a Master’s in Early Childhood and Special Education.
Stay tuned for more PID FLOORS TREEHOUSE events for children!
