Bespoke Beauty. Endless Possibilities.
The inLove Collection embraces both tradition and innovation, employing time-honored woodworking techniques alongside the most cutting-edge in biochemistry. Art and science meet with the use of reactive color processes: wood smoking (also known as fuming) and reaction-based stains. Bespoke flooring, made by hand, in our state-of-the-art facilities in Brooklyn, New York, and New Jersey.
Karen Asprea, founder of ASPREA STUDIO has studios in Miami and NYC that focus on creating curated, luxury design for residential developments, commercial spaces, and private homes. Her work designs timeless interiors that resonate personally, evolve gracefully, and focus on natural materials.
“A lot of the design philosophy that we use in my studio is based on natural materials and how they age gracefully with time. The inLove Collection uses natural pigments to bring the beauty out of the wood, to bring the colors out, and I love that so much. People live their lives on their wood floors and it will become more and more beautiful and that’s what I really love about this. Overall, the spaces that I’m creating are warm, inviting, they’re tonal, they’re layered, and they’re textured, tactile… I think that’s very important…”
“Throughout my entire career, the first thing I do is educate my clients on the importance of the main material in their house which is the wood floor. It’s what your body connects to in the morning. The fact that these are natural stains that will age over time and become more elegant is what makes me so happy to bring it to my clients.
The basis of all my designs really starts with the wood floor and up until this point, until we started talking about this product, I wouldn’t say that I was limited, but I know how much I love to use natural and nature-based materials in my designs. And now I feel like the PID family has given me an extra opportunity to use wood flooring that truly is only nature-based products.”
