In celebration of Earth Day 2026, PID was honored to attend an enlightened evening focused entirely on sustainability in architecture, “Environment, Sustainability, and Resilience: Insights for Emerging Architects,” featuring industry leaders across both public policy and architectural practice in urgent discussion. Hosted by the AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA) and AIANY Committee on the Environment (COTE,) the esteemed panelists shared their perspectives on the environment, career paths specializing in sustainability, and their insights on resilience. All conversations focused on how the AEC industry can help to build a more sustainable future and PID Floors was inspired by every single moment.

The setting for this enriching event was a beacon of healthy, low-carbon workplace design, the New York Office of SOM located in 7 World Trade Center.
