PID Floors was thrilled to join the SoHo Retail Walking Tour led by IA Interior Architects & Studio 43D, on July 14th. This fantastic roaming design event, hosted by the Retail Design Institute (RDI) NY Chapter, took its enthusiastic design industry participants on a curated walk through some of SoHo’s newest and most innovative retail spaces including the innovative retail brands: Greenrow, Tecovas, and American Eagle.

This design-focused walking tour for retail designers, architects, and interior design professionals, offered a hands-on, experiential look at retail design —exploring and illuminating the comprehensive behind-the-scenes design story behind each space including the motivation for specific design decisions and craftsmanship choices, that all culminate in shaping a customer’s retail experience. Behind-the-scenes access was given at each location and PID Floors felt warmly welcomed and cared for with sincere thoughtfulness, aptly embodying the evening's theme was Radical Hospitality, and each team delivered a masterclass.

The talented firms IA Interior Architects and Studio 43D Architecture and Design, led this fun and informative tour, on a hot summer night in July, amidst the iconic aesthetic of SoHo’s streets, offering insights into how environments are created to engage shoppers and to reflect brand identity. Each stop on the tour included a deeper focus on each space’s unique architectural and interior design choices, materials, lighting, and spatial flow.
