Founded in 1884, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center specializes in cancer care, treating hundreds of subtypes of the disease every year.
Patients are treated by a multidisciplinary team, which might include a surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist and radiologist, depending on their disease. The center’s inpatient hospital in Manhattan houses facilities where patients can receive immunotherapy, chemotherapy and other cancer treatments; an urgent care center; a patient recreation center; and a children's hospital.
